January 24, 2010: Questions Galore! Books in Store!

Hi hi hi!

Lovely readers, something terribly nefarious is happening in my house.  First of all, there has been FURNITURE MOVING!  Nothing good ever comes of furniture moving!  So ominous!  Not only that, but all sorts of THINGS keep coming into the house -- things that look like toys for me, but aren't!  Things that smell like extremely tiny people!  I don't approve! 

Worst of all, Tui seems to be sleeping about forty hours a day.  I cannot begin to tell you how bored I am.  Even when she does take me for a walk, we have to move at the speed of fur growing, so it is rather tremendously unexciting.  And when I try to remind her what fun is by running around the house carrying a tennis ball or barking at nothingness, she crawls further under the covers and puts a pillow over her head.  WHAT.  Ignore ME, will you?  OutRAGEOUS.  At this rate, I almost wish Oliver and Maui would come back just to keep me awake.  I mean, seriously!

So what is a poor bored little dog to do?  Try to tackle a bunch of your questions at once, of course!  :-)  Let's see...

Hi!  I love Mud Puddle Poodle; it's been the best book I've ever read in my life!!  It's just like my life.
Can you tell me where I can find more Pet Trouble series?

           I was wondering, Is there really a dachshund book coming out?
I also would like a list of all the Pet Trouble books. Is there any new ones other then the dachshund one?

Hi Natasha, Marissa, and MK!

Yay for Pet Trouble readers!  And yes, there is a dachshund book coming out, I think pretty soon, because dachshunds won our recent contest to pick a breed for the eighth book.  Woo hoo!

Hopefully you can find these both online and at bookstores near you (if they don't have it on the shelf, see if they'll order it for you!).

The next Pet Trouble book being published is one of my favorites so far: Oh No, Newf!, which is all about Heidi and the lovable giant Newfoundland she finds on her way home from school one day.



How sweet-looking is that dog?  Don't you just want to hug it and play with it?  I do!  Although Tui tells me he'd actually be a smidge big for me in real life.  :-)

And guess when you can get this book?  NEXT WEEK!  As in, February 1st!  New Pet Trouble adventures, hooray!

After that is book six, Smarty-Pants Sheltie, coming out in May:



Yay!  And those will be followed later this year by Bad to the Bone Boxer and Dachshund Disaster -- no covers yet, but we'll share them once we can! 

So those are the eight Pet Trouble books written so far...but if you like them and keep buying them, we hope we'll get to do more!  Especially since we keep getting awesome suggestions like these:

Sure sounds like the people have spoken, doesn't it?  :-)  Tui would love to do a book about a husky, and the name Mush is totally hilarious!  She will definitely pass the request along to her editor...paws crossed for book nine and beyond!  :-)

Dear Tui, I would like to ask you a question.  What breed is Sunshine?  I would really like to know.

Hi Caitlin!  I (Sunshine) am three-quarters poodle and one-quarter Yorkshire terrier...my mom was a full miniature poodle and my dad was half Yorkie, half poodle.

Now you can see where I get my adorableness from, right?  ;-)

Oooo, hey, it looks like Tui is actually mostly awake right now, so I'm going to go stare at her with my big tragic eyes and see if that'll make her play with me (or at least get off the couch).  Or she could give me one of the fuzzy new toys I've seen around the house...there's a particular monkey and a very appealing zebra that I've got my eye on.  They WILL be mine!  Bwa ha ha!
